I had the privilege of staying at this beautiful cabin for a week. Living in a large city you do not get to see nature in the raw. While I was there I sat and watched the hummingbirds feed. Could almost reach out and touch them. The deer would come to visit most evenings. There is so much to do at the cabin, every game that you want to play … if you want to venture off for a few hours everything is within a few miles whether it is to shop, golf, etc. If I get the chance I would definitely return.

Our family has had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful place several times. The cottage is able to accommodate ten of us easily and comfortably, with beds to spare, in the bunk room. The indoor facilities (kitchen, bathrooms) are well-maintained and pleasant. It has a great “cottage-vibe” – cozy and extremely comfortable. No cable or internet but this is not why we were there… it is the beauty of the outdoor surroundings at the doorstep – the lake, the mountains and enough toys and opportunities for play and recreation (volley ball court! Hiking trails! Canoes and kayaks! It’s really a mini-resort!) to keep everyone happy for the whole holiday. The owners are wonderful and available with a phone call or text and they have created an information book that leaves no question about the property unanswered. Don’t miss this gem of a cottage in the East Kootenays!

Norbury is a special place, quiet and perfect for rejuvenation. There are lots of activities for families and it’s easy to get to with amenities close by. I loved my time here surrounded by nature and wildlife.
